Math Grade 2
By the end of Second Grade, students who are making adequate progress in math are able to:
2.1 Know addition and subtraction math facts through 18.
2.2 Read and interpret a bar graph and a pictograph.
2.3 Recognize and write numbers 1-100.
2.4 Record tens and ones as two digit numbers.
2.5 Given a two digit number, be able to draw ones and tens or show them using manipulative.
2.6 Demonstrate understanding of skip counting by 2, 5, and 10 to 100.
2.7 Recognize the difference between addition and subtraction word problems.
2.8 Demonstrate two digit addition and subtraction with regrouping.
2.9 Find the value of a group of dimes, nickels, pennies, quarters and half dollars to $1.00.
2.10 Tell time to 5 minutes.
2.11 Recognize a circle, square, rectangle and triangle.
2.12 Know and use inches and feet when measuring.
2.13 Able to show work on paper using pictures, number sentence etc.…
